10. Chuck
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Chuck is a fantastic blend of comedy, action, and geek culture. It follows the story of Chuck Bartowski, an average guy who ends up with a government supercomputer in his brain, turning him into an unwitting spy.
My Experience
Chuck is one of those shows which is really easy to watch, you can sit down and enjoy it or have it on in the background while you’re pottering around the house. I remember putting Chuck on for its quirky premise and stayed for the charming characters. The show’s mix of espionage and geeky humor (which I was familiar with) made it a unique watch. Plus, the dynamic between Chuck and his friends is both hilarious and heartwarming.

Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
If you’re a psychological thriller kinda guy, then ‘You’ is perfect for you as it delves into the mind of a charming yet dangerously obsessive man. The show’s unique perspective on modern relationships and obsession offers a gripping and often unsettling viewing experience.
My Experience
‘You’ caught me off guard with its intense and sometimes chilling portrayal of obsession and somehow, you end up routing for him. 8. Demon slayer
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
For those who love anime or just need a break from the usual, Demon Slayer offers a visually stunning experience combined with a heartfelt story. Set in a world where demons roam, the series follows Tanjiro Kamado’s quest to avenge his family and cure his sister, who has been turned into a demon.
My Experience
Anime is something I have always loved and when my Brother-in-Law (also a huge anime fan) told me about Demon Slayer I instantly wanted to watch it. Some anime series can contain a lot of filler episodes to bulk out the seasons but I can confirm, Demon Slayer DOES NOT do that! Each episode is action packed making it a great series for men, I promise you won’t be disappointed.
7. Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Brooklyn Nine-Nine is the perfect blend of comedy, crime, and heart. Set in a New York City police precinct, the show follows a group of quirky detectives led by the lovable and often childish Detective Jake Peralta. The humor is sharp, the characters are memorable, and the series offers a light-hearted take on workplace dynamics.
My Experience
I discovered Brooklyn Nine-Nine when I needed a light, feel-good show, and it didn’t disappoint. The show has a fantastic cast consisting of Andy Samberg, Terry Crews, Joe Lo Truglio and many more who blend perfectly together with impeccable comedic timing. The show also offers unexpected moments of depth, tackling social issues while keeping the humor intact. It’s the kind of series you can watch at the end of a tough day to unwind and have a good laugh.
6. Stranger Things
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Stranger Things is a nostalgic trip back to the 1980s with a supernatural twist. It combines elements of sci-fi, horror, and coming-of-age drama, making it a thrilling watch from start to finish.
My Experience
I first watched Stranger Things with my wife who quickly lost interest, but it became my go-to show for binge-watching sessions. The blend of 80s nostalgia and creepy sci-fi elements is both charming and suspenseful. If you love a good mystery with a touch of the supernatural, this series for men is a winner.
5. Game of Thrones
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Game of Thrones needs little introduction. It’s a sprawling fantasy epic filled with political intrigue, dragons, and intense drama. The show’s intricate plotlines and memorable characters have made it a modern classic. Although the shows ending was controversial and faced some critique, it doesn’t take away from the fact that this series is one of the best of all time!
My Experience
I was skeptical at first… My friend made me watch episode 1 with him after preaching about how amazing the show was but I didn’t really get the hype. But then once I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, I couldn’t stop. The scale of the show and the depth of its characters kept me hooked through every twist and turn. It’s the kind of series that’s perfect for deep dives and late-night marathons.
4. Sons of Anarchy
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Sons of Anarchy is perfect for anyone who enjoys a gritty drama with a side of adrenaline. The series delves into the world of an outlaw motorcycle club and explores themes of loyalty, power, and family. It’s intense, raw, and brilliantly acted.
My Experience
I caught up on Sons of Anarchy during a summer binge, and it quickly became a favourite. The mix of motorcycle culture and high-stakes drama was incredibly engaging and made it an ideal series for men. Plus, one of the shows leading characters is played by Ron Perlman who I am a huge fan of!
3. Friends
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Let’s be real: Friends is a classic. It’s that show you can turn on at any time and instantly feel at home. The humor is timeless, and the characters—Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, and Phoebe—have become iconic in their own right.
My Experience
Growing up, Friends was always on in the background. It’s the kind of show that never gets old, no matter how many times you’ve seen it. It’s a great pick-me-up and perfect for winding down after a long day. My wife and I usually binge the entire series at least twice a year and it is what we are watching when we have any spare time as we speak. Ross is my favourite by the way…
2. Rings of Power
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
This may be a slightly biased opinion as I am a big fan of Tolkien’s world, but Rings of Power is a must-watch TV show. Set in Middle-earth’s Second Age, it explores new narratives and expands on the lore established in “The Lord of the Rings.”
My Experience
I did struggle at the beginning of the series as it differs from how the story is told in the books, but once I looked past that I came to really enjoy this storyline. The series’ visual effects and faithful homage to Tolkien’s world were fantastic. It’s a great way to revisit Middle-earth with fresh stories and epic battles making it a perfect series for men.
1. Dexter
Why It’s a Must-See Series for Men
Dexter Morgan is one of those characters you can’t help but be fascinated by. A forensic blood spatter analyst by day and a vigilante serial killer by night, Dexter is as complex as they come. What drew me in was the sheer brilliance of the show’s duality—Dexter’s struggle between his public persona and his dark urges creates a gripping narrative.
My Experience
I remember watching the entire Dexter series whilst on tour in the Falkland Islands during my RAF days after a mate had recommended it to me and there is next to nothing to do out there. I was hooked on the moral dilemmas Dexter faced and how he justified his actions. The way the show balances crime drama with psychological twists is nothing short of captivating. If you’re into intense, character-driven plots, this one’s for you.
