HELLO, I'M JACK FORD AND WELCOME TO SIMPLESTRIDES!
The idea of having a blog always tickled my fancy, but I had never gave starting one much thought. Whenever I did consider taking the jump, my first thought would be ‘who would want to know what I’m up to!’. Until now… (Brace for the excitement)
So, you may think ‘why the change of heart Jack?’ – Well, I can tell you, 2024 has been quite the year for my wife Becci and I. After recently leaving the Royal Air Force after 14 years of service to start a new career, we welcomed our gorgeous baby girl, Oakley, to the world.
These huge life changes were the catalyst that urged me to take the plunge and start SimpleStrides. This blog will act as an extension of me, not only to document the amazing adventures my wife and I have been on and will continue to have with Oakley, but to catalogue all the amazing things we did as a family and one day show our little princess.
Now, my friends and family would describe me in many ways – ways that I will get into trouble if I were to share on this blog. But what you do need to know is I’m a 31-year-old, family man from the UK with an obsession for all things men’s lifestyle, such as travel, trainers, films, basketball and anything that the average person would consider geeky.
So now that you’re here, please come along with me for this new journey of figuring life out together and having a few laughs on the way!
